Dietiker

Since 1873, Dietiker has been manufacturing wooden chairs and tables in Stein am Rhein for restaurants, schools and public institutions. The Swiss brand became famous for the «Rey Chair», designed by Bruno Rey in 1971, which was the first chair to feature a patented screwless wood-to-metal joint. The die-cast aluminium construction enabled an exceptionally stable connection between the seat and legs, making «Rey» one of the most widely produced Swiss chairs. Many of Dietiker’s models are still designed today so that individual parts can be replaced and the furniture can continue to be used for decades. Dietiker shares a common interest with teo jakob in durable furniture with precise craftsmanship. teo jakob integrates the brand’s chairs and tables into residential and commercial projects where robust wooden furniture and a understated Swiss design language are in demand.
