At teo jakob Winterthur, interior architecture projects take shape from conception to realisation. The location serves as a consulting space for private clients and businesses who wish to plan, renovate or redesign flats, offices or public spaces. At planning tables and with material samples, furniture, lighting and acoustic solutions, spatial concepts are developed and refined until function, atmosphere and architectural context are perfectly aligned.

Distinctive Characteristics

Materials Library

The materials library includes fabrics, curtain textiles, wood surfaces, carpets and tiles. The materials can be felt, compared, taken out on loan, or ordered as custom-made items. In collaboration with specialised manufacturers, bespoke upholstery, floor coverings, carpets or personalised designer pieces are created – such as a sofa in the company colours.

Textiles

teo jakob Winterthur offers an extensive sample library with woven, fulled or tufted fabrics, leather, felt, technical textiles and sustainable materials. Colours, surfaces, gloss levels and tactile qualities are assessed in conjunction with light and furnishings. Curtain fabrics made of linen, wool, cotton, hemp or sound-absorbing textiles are tested directly within the space, as are patterns, textures and colour effects.

Mute Room-in-Room Systems

For contemporary working environments with high demands on acoustics and flexibility, teo jakob Winterthur offers modular room-in-room solutions by Mute, such as mobile pods, sound-absorbing panels, and room dividers with integrated technology. The modules create retreat spaces, conference rooms or telephone booths without structural alterations. A needs analysis clarifies zoning and usage so that the systems can be integrated precisely into existing spaces.

USM

As an established USM partner, teo jakob Winterthur offers comprehensive planning, visualisation and implementation of modular USM Haller configurations. From USM shelves to USM tables to expansive shelving areas. All modules can be individually configured, expanded or reconfigured.

Platform & Events

teo jakob Winterthur sees itself as a platform for exchange and inspiration at the intersection of architecture, design and interior design. Through workshops, talks and events, we create space for dialogue, new perspectives and interdisciplinary encounters. Professionals, partners and design enthusiasts come together to discuss trends, experience materials and think holistically about interior design. This will make Winterthur a vibrant meeting place for contemporary interior design and creative collaboration.

An armchair for good conversations

13.05.2026

A Cassina design classic that combines clean lines with comfort and timeless appeal.

The “1 FAUTEUIL DOSSIER BASCULANT” by Cassina is more than just a designer armchair. It translates the language of modernism into a piece of furniture that fosters a sense of intimacy. Its low silhouette, open construction and tilting backrest give the body freedom and lend the room a calm, architectural presence.

The armchair was designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. It was unveiled at the Salon d’Automne in Paris in 1929, alongside other designs for a new interior style. Cassina has been producing the “1 FAUTEUIL DOSSIER BASCULAN” since 1965, and to this day it stands for precision, craftsmanship and a culture of expertise.

As a Cassina armchair, it combines tubular steel, leather and clean proportions to create a timeless design classic. Whether in the living room, lounge or workspace, it never feels intrusive. It sets the standard for people who consciously design their spaces and see design as part of everyday life.

Klybeck Furniture from Basel: a Swiss manufacturer of sustainable design

13.05.2026

Handcrafted wooden furniture from Basel – sustainably made and timeless in design.

At Klybeck, design doesn’t begin on paper, but with the material itself. Every piece takes its cue from the wood – its structure, its warmth, and the possibilities it offers. In Basel, this wood is transformed into furniture and home accessories that exude a sense of calm and will be a part of your life for years to come.

The Swiss furniture manufacturer was founded by Baptiste Ducommun, a trained cabinetmaker and designer. In his workshop, he creates handcrafted wooden furniture that combines clean lines with poetic details. The result is pieces that do not follow fleeting trends, but instead meet the highest standards of quality, precision and durability.

Sustainability is integral to the process at Klybeck. Carefully selected materials, regional suppliers and in-house production ensure short supply chains and a direct link to the source. In this way, every piece of furniture and accessory becomes a conscious choice in favour of Swiss craftsmanship and timeless living.
