High above the rooftops of Lausanne, a home has been created that strikes a new balance between architecture and comfort. The penthouse triplex impresses with its sculptural geometry, light-filled rooms and distinctive volumes. It was precisely this architecture that placed high demands on the interior design. The complex spatial structure became the starting point for the project. Through close collaboration between the architect, the client and the project manager, teo jakob developed an interior design concept that highlights the quality of the existing spaces. The focus was on the optimal use of space, the deliberate handling of sloping lines, and the staging of light and materials.

Bespoke oak joinery brings calm, warmth and precision to the rooms. Clean lines provide a sense of direction. Carefully placed details lend character to the interior without overloading the architecture. The result is an atmosphere that appears minimalist yet is deeply personal.

The selected designer furniture provides a soft contrast to the angular geometry of the penthouse triplex. Iconic pieces with rounded, flowing forms create a sense of cosiness and lend the rooms an inviting lightness. Inside and outside engage in a constant dialogue. The light alters the effect of the materials throughout the day, making the home appear fresh and new time and again.

The terrace showcases the project’s vibrant, colourful side. It extends the living space outwards and creates a playful contrast to the calm, neutral tones inside. The bathrooms also reflect the surroundings. Mineral-based materials evoke the landscape and the vastness of the lake in the distance.

Thus, a challenging architectural starting point has been transformed into a home with character, warmth and a high standard of living. A project that demonstrates how interior architecture, bespoke furnishings and design can bring classic living concepts to life in a contemporary way.
