A Sensory Spatial Experience

For a private residence, teo jakob developed an interior architecture concept in 2021 defined by flowing spatial sequences and carefully coordinated materials. The new design connects sleeping, dressing and bathroom areas into one harmonious living environment with a calm atmosphere and a high level of comfort.

The architecture of the private residence was developed by Dürig Architekten AG. Building on this foundation, teo jakob realised the interior architecture concept and creative direction for the renovation of the upper floor in 2021. The aim was to connect the individual spaces both functionally and atmospherically, creating a clear and coherent spatial identity. Following a detailed analysis of the floor plan, the room proportions were optimised and the sequence of spaces reorganised. This resulted in two sleeping areas with adjoining dressing rooms and bathrooms, linked through a flowing circulation concept. Carefully coordinated materials, textile elements and dark natural stone surfaces lend the interior a sense of calmness, depth and sensual materiality.

The walls throughout the upper floor were finished with Stucco Gressani. The marble lime and marble powder plaster creates a soft and natural appearance.

The bespoke joinery features surfaces in dark oak wood.

«Our goal was to design the individual rooms as one connected living environment. Through flowing transitions, carefully coordinated materials and a clear spatial structure, we created an interior defined by calmness and a sensual atmosphere.»
