History and Modernity

For Hotel Caspar in Muri, teo jakob developed a furnishing concept in 2022 that combines historic charm with contemporary design. Carefully selected materials, varied colour palettes and iconic design classics create an atmospheric hotel experience with a strong sense of comfort and identity.

The Hotel Caspar ensemble in Muri AG combines the historic guesthouses Adler and Ochsen with the new Wolf building into one architecturally coherent composition. The architecture, developed by Tilla Theus und Partner AG, merges historic substance with a contemporary architectural language. Building on this concept, teo jakob realised the furnishing concept in 2022 for the public areas as well as the 50 individually designed hotel rooms. Inspired by the history of the location, the interior combines timeless elegance with contemporary design elements. Depending on the space, bold colour accents or restrained natural tones shape the atmosphere and give each room its own distinct character. High quality materials, carefully selected furnishings and iconic lighting create a warm yet refined design language. teo jakob thus developed a hotel environment that harmoniously connects history, architecture and contemporary comfort.

«Hotel Caspar combines history and contemporary design in a remarkably natural way. Our goal was to create an atmosphere through materials, colours and carefully selected design pieces that respects the building’s historic character while offering contemporary comfort.»
