Holiday apartment Zermatt

For a holiday apartment in Zermatt, teo jakob developed a comprehensive interior architecture and furnishing concept that maximises living quality within a compact footprint. Through a carefully considered colour scheme, intelligent spatial solutions and thoughtfully selected furnishings, the apartment was transformed into an atmospheric retreat designed to adapt to different stages of life.

At the heart of the project is a finely balanced palette of soft greens, blues and sandy tones that deliberately contrasts with the dramatic alpine landscape beyond the windows. Six carefully coordinated colours structure the compact apartment, giving each area its own identity while enhancing the overall sense of space. The bedroom was intentionally designed in darker shades to create a particularly cosy and intimate atmosphere. Several years after the initial renovation, teo jakob adapted the apartment with only minimal interventions to meet the evolving needs of the now larger family. A room-within-a-room concept, created using a blackout curtain, allows the living and sleeping areas to be used flexibly while providing additional comfort for both parents and children. Complemented by carefully selected furniture and lighting, the result is a holiday home that harmoniously combines functionality, comfort and refined design.
