The HUF HAUS Residence in the Countryside

teo jakob developed a bespoke furnishing concept for a HUF HAUS home, bringing nature, architecture and living into harmony. With careful attention to materials, colours and proportions, a home was created that unites cocooning, elegance and everyday practicality.

The owners HUF HAUS residence stands amidst a carefully designed garden on the southern slope of the Jura. The architecture, with large glass surfaces and a clear structure, brings plenty of light into the interior. A variety of materials, soft textiles and a precise lighting concept create a cosy atmosphere, without compromising the house’s airy feel. Existing pieces were integrated and complemented with selected design classics. This makes the house feel both personal and carefully curated.

The lamp is paired with the «TIX» dining table, designed by Dante Bonuccelli (born in 1956) for Zoom by Mobimex, as well as the «Softshell» chair, designed by Ronan Bouroullec (born in 1971) and Erwan Bouroullec (born in 1976) for Vitra.

In the lounge, the «Pix» ottoman by Arper is paired with the «Tribeca» coffee table, designed in 2014 by Jean Marie Massaud (born in 1966) for Poliform. The «Twiggy» free-standing luminaire by Foscarini complements the ensemble and creates a cosy lounge area with clear lines.

Cassina’s upholstered pieces, namely the «Mex» sofa and the «Utrecht» armchair, invite one to converse, read and relax.

In the corner, the «Beoplay A9» by Bang & Olufsen invites one to listen.

In the entryway, the USM Haller chest of drawers complements the «Backenzahn» side table, designed in 1996 by Philipp Mainzer (born in 1963) for e15. The «Akari» table lamp sets a warm accent.

«Our ambition was to fill the openness of the architecture with warmth and personality. Through carefully selected materials, furniture and lighting, a home emerged that feels effortless and familiar – entirely in the spirit of ‹c’est comme chez vous›.»
