Bespoke Residential Concept within a Housing Development

For a home in a newbuild development, teo jakob assumed responsibility for project management and developed a colour, material and furnishing concept that harmonises the architecture and living ambience with precision.

The project demonstrates how bespoke design can succeed despite standardised building requirements. teo jakob guided the client through all planning phases and managed the interfaces. The colour concept, fireplace, wallpapers and the built-in wardrobe by Thut Möbel, featuring folding sliding panels up to three metres in height, echo the green and brown tones of the neighbouring woodland and unite function and atmosphere.

The «Tufty-Time» sofa, designed in 2005 by Patricia Urquiola for B&B Italia, forms a centrepiece, complemented by the «Around» table, designed in 2010 by Thomas Bentzen for Muuto. Made-to-measure curtains from Silent Gliss demonstrate textile precision and craftsmanship.

The «Cutter» bench, designed in 2009 by Niels Hvass for Skagerak/Fritz Hansen, is made of solid wood. The distinct slatted construction offers seating and storage in a single unit.

In the bathroom, the colours of the outdoors are echoed; wallpaper creates dreamy moments.

«The client wanted a home that would bring the qualities of the surrounding landscape inside. With a coherent colour and material concept, precisely executed spatial transitions and restrained, nature-inspired furnishings, an interior has been created that appears calm, boasts functional excellence and guides nature's colours straight into the living area.»
