Urban Living Experience in Zurich

teo jakob developed a holistic interior design concept that renders the urban lifestyle of the district in the interior spaces. With colour, light, materials and furnishings, a personal living environment was created with a distinct attitude and a strong atmosphere.

Northwest of Zurich’s city centre, a new urban neighbourhood is emerging on the grounds of a former industrial site. Here lies the flat whose interior was intended to incorporate the urban panorama. In collaboration with the client, teo jakob developed a clear living and colour concept: a kt.Color blue in the bedroom, as well as beige and grey-blue in the living area and library. This gave the flat depth, tranquillity and character.

The «Corker» side table, designed in 2004 by Herzog & de Meuron for ClassiCon, is combined with the «Coordinates Floor» standing lamp, designed in 2020 by Michael Anastassiades (born in 1967) for Flos.

The standing lamp from the «FEZ» family by Baltensweiler is combined with the «Habibi» side table, designed in 2008 by Philipp Mainzer (born in 1963) for e15, to provide cosy accents.

«The focus was on rendering the urban environment in the living space. Through colour, light and carefully selected furniture, an atmosphere was created in collaboration with the client, uniting clarity, tranquillity and personality.»
