Patrician Residence in Geneva’s Old Town

In a historic flat in Geneva’s Old Town, teo jakob developed an interior concept featuring design classics, bespoke fabrics, and made-to-measure curtains.

teo jakob took on not only the selection of furniture but also the implementation down to the last detail. Thus, the interior design concept integrates existing objects with selected furniture, lighting and textiles. Design classics such as the «Fauteuil dossier basculant», designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier (1887–1965), Pierre Jeanneret (1896–1967) and Charlotte Perriand (1903–1999), as well as the «PK22», designed in 1956 by Poul Kjærholm (1929–1980), create distinctive highlights. A tailor-made library complements the furnishings.

The fur-upholstered version of the «Fauteuil à dossier basculant» armchair, designed in the 1930s by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, produced by Cassina, exemplifies early ergonomic concepts. The flexible back-rest adapts to movement and remains an inspiration for contemporary design.

The «Topoled T» table lamp by Baltensweiler, with a rotatable head, delivers focused, glare-free light for accentuation and for reading areas.

The bedside tables and consoles by Jacques Dewarrat from Fribourg display precise cubical forms and architectural references. Subtle sanding lines on the Bakelite surface attest to artisanal craftsmanship, rendering each piece unique.
