Tiefenbrunnen Mill
The exhibition spans several open levels in two historic wings of the building. The types of spaces presented range from living areas and home offices to New Work areas, lounges, hospitality and communication areas. A centrally positioned kitchen and shared workspaces with other companies illustrate usage scenarios for modern work environments. Whether classic furniture from USM Haller or Cassina, lighting from Occhio or sofas from established manufacturers, all furnishings are purposefully set in contrast to the raw industrial architecture, making their usability and atmosphere visible.
Distinctive Characteristics
Showroom
The exhibition spans five open levels in two wings of the building. New Work areas, retreat areas, communication hubs and a central kitchen provide tangible spatial concepts for living and working. Our own working areas, which are shared with a communications agency, are openly visible and designed as a functioning New Work showcase. Here, high-quality furniture and lighting from brands such as USM Haller, Vitra, Occhio, Cassina, B&B Italia, Flexform, Schramm, Mute and Orea kitchens are set against raw industrial architecture. A professional team of interior design consultants, interior architects, and lighting and materials planners creates inspiring spaces.
Materials Library
The materials library includes fabrics, curtain textiles, wood surfaces, carpets and tiles. The materials can be felt, compared, taken out on loan, or ordered as custom-made items. In collaboration with specialised manufacturers, bespoke upholstery, floor coverings, carpets or personalised designer pieces are created.
WorkLab
In the WorkLab, interior solutions are created for companies, government offices and institutions, from needs analysis to implementation. Central elements include modular systems such as Mute Modular for retreat areas, meeting areas or lounges. The offering is enhanced by furniture and spatial solutions from Arper, Vitra and Zoom by Mobimex. Consultation, material sampling and planning take place directly on site and are geared towards functional, durable and architecturally harmonised utilisation.
Mute Room-in-Room Systems
For modern work environments with high demands on acoustics and flexibility, teo jakob Zurich offers modular Mute room-in-room solutions such as mobile pods, acoustic panels, and room dividers with integrated technology. The modules create retreat spaces, conference rooms or telephone booths without structural alterations. A needs analysis clarifies zoning and usage so that the systems can be integrated precisely into existing spaces.
Sleeping World
At the Zurich location, teo jakob presents sleeping areas as walk-through staged settings. Complete bedrooms are staged as showroom scenarios, from bed and mattress to lighting, textiles and storage. The Sleeping World enables a direct comparison of lying comfort, materiality and design. The diversity shows how differently sleeping solutions respond to space, rest requirements and use, and provides a sound basis for decisions in private and commercial projects in Zurich.
Swiss Design
In addition to international brands, teo jakob Zürich works with Swiss manufacturers such as Lehni, Röthlisberger Kollektion, Wogg, Zoom by Mobimex, Horgenglarus, Embru, Girsberger and Dietiker. This cooperation is a commitment to local production, durable designs, FSC-certified materials, and short transportation routes. Products bearing the «création suisse» (Made in Switzerland) label form a central component of bespoke residential and commercial interior furnishings.
USM
As an established USM partner, teo jakob Zurich offers comprehensive planning, visualisation and implementation of modular USM Haller configurations. From USM shelves to USM tables to expansive shelving areas. All modules can be individually configured, expanded or reconfigured.
Art
The showroom combines interior design and contemporary art: Curated exhibitions with artists such as Chantal Michel, Jean Tinguely or Beat Schweizer complement furniture presentations. Collaborations with cultural institutions such as the Zurich Art Weekend or the Art Salon Zurich strengthen the dialogue between design, art and the public.
