Appointments by prior arrangement

At 18 Rue du Midi in Lausanne, teo jakob has created a central location dedicated to interior architecture, designer furniture, and furnishing solutions. teo jakob Lausanne supports residential, office, and hotel projects, giving access to brands such as Vitra, USM Haller, Cassina, and Santa & Cole. The showroom serves as a concise point of contact for clients in Lausanne who are seeking advice on furniture, lighting or bespoke curtains.

Distinctive Characteristics

Showroom

The 93 m² showroom in the historic building combines baroque elements with a raw formwork structure – a deliberately staged contrast that promotes creative work. Two material libraries, textile collections, and flexible consultation areas make the location a comprehensive contact point. The team led by Caroline Ding and David De Martin provides personalised and expert advice – for flats, offices, hotels or educational institutions.

Competencies

Lausanne is closely associated with the teo jakob centre of competence in Geneva-Carouge, the leading centre for design and interior architecture in French-speaking Switzerland. The offerings range from selecting a Vitra chair to planning a lighting scheme, all the way through comprehensive interior design advice for private clients, businesses and institutions: all of teo jakob’s expertise is available in Lausanne. This includes lighting consultancy, bespoke curtains, textile solutions, acoustic solutions, room-in-room systems such as the Mute Modular system, or configuring USM shelving – always with access to special editions and sample collections from leading design brands.

Platform & Events

teo jakob Lausanne is not only a planning centre, but also a cultural platform. Exhibitions showcasing the brands Fredericia, Santa & Cole, and Muuto have already been held here. An exclusive series of armchairs has been created in collaboration with the Lausanne-based designer Guy Meldem. As part of the «Design Days Lausanne», the showroom provides a platform for young talent, and the reconstruction of Arne Jacobsen’s hotel room 606 attracted national attention.
