GRID, the Modular Glass System by Nicolas Le Moigne

21.01.2026

A glass system that creates spatial separation, integrates lighting and is impressive as furniture.

GRID is a modular glass block system that re-imagines interior design and architecture. The relief structure of the blocks forms cylindrical voids that are more than just a detail: They provide functionality by allowing for the integration of shelving, hooks or light sources. This creates components that can be precisely planned and flexibly reconfigured.

GRID was designed by the designer Nicolas Le Moigne for Nouvel, a Mexican glass manufacturer with deeply rooted expertise in craftsmanship. In 2025, Nicolas Le Moigne was awarded the Design Prize Switzerland in the «In Between» category for GRID.

Depending on the application, GRID functions as a functional partition, a transparent room divider or as a stand-alone object in the space, such as a sideboard, console or lighting installation. This makes GRID suitable for private interiors as well as for projects in retail, hospitality and office environments, wherever spatial separation, material composition and a strong visual presence are desired.
