FRITZ HANSEN

Fritz Hansen was founded in 1872 and evolved from a Copenhagen carpentry workshop into a globally renowned design company. Early on, the company perfected industrial moulded wood technology, making iconic designs such as the «Ant» (1952) and «Series 7» (1955) possible. In 1960, a holistic interior was created for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen with Arne Jacobsen, featuring the «Egg» and «Swan» chairs. Works by Poul Kjærholm, such as «PK22» or «PK80», enrich the collection with precise steel construction featuring leather or canvas.

teo jakob was an early importer of Nordic brands to Switzerland and has fostered this relationship ever since. At teo jakob Geneva and Bern, the Arne Jacobsen Suite (Room 606) of the SAS Royal Hotel was recreated in context in collaboration with Fritz Hansen. This allows the furniture to be experienced in its architectural context.
