Occhio

Occhio was founded in Munich in 1999 by Axel Meise and develops networked lighting systems for cohesive lighting architecture. Collections such as «Mito» with a ring shaped luminaire head and bidirectional light output, «Sento» as a modular classic line, «io» as a precise spotlight, and «Più» as a flexibly adjustable spotlight are all constructed to be technically compatible. This ensures consistent planning across different application scenarios and product families. With «Occhio air», luminaires can be grouped and scenes programmed via an app. Brightness, colour temperature, as well as up- and downlighting, can be smoothly controlled via gesture control or the app.

teo jakob operates an «Occhio Light Space» in Bern and «Occhio Galleries» in Geneva and Zurich. Lighting effects are tested on site and digital lighting scenarios are defined. This results in coordinated lighting concepts for residential and commercial projects.

Occhio light space

On the first floor at Gerechtigkeitsgasse 23 in Bern, the «Occhio light space » presents lighting in a real furnished flat, from the entrance to the bedroom. Different scenes demonstrate how programmed lighting moods differ for living, working, relaxing, or illuminating artwork. Brightness and light colour can be controlled via gesture or digitally, so that, for example, warm light in the living room can be experienced alongside precise illumination of artwork. The Light Space complements the Occhio Galleries in Geneva and Zurich and offers specialised lighting consultancy in Bern.

Occhio Gallery

The Occhio Gallery presents the brand’s entire range at its locations in Geneva-Carouge and Zurich. From precise individual luminaires to modular lighting systems for living, working and dining areas. Gesture control, stepless dimming and variable colour temperature enable differentiated lighting moods.
