Bathroom Bathed in Light

In Winterthur, teo jakob completely redesigned a bathroom. By re-organising the layout, using varied materials and employing targeted lighting, a spacious, light-filled wellness oasis with a cosy atmosphere was created.

The client commissioned teo jakob to completely renovate a bathroom. The generous floor space allowed for a completely new layout, enabling different areas and varied lighting scenarios. The glossy green tiles stand out as a defining feature, contrasting with matte surfaces and bringing the colour of nature indoors. Complemented by wooden surfaces, textile blinds and purposefully placed furniture, a warm, harmonious overall mood is created.

The wall tiles are combined with the «Mosa Stage» floor tiles from Mosa.

The «Sento verticale» luminaire by Occhio accentuates the space distinctly and functionally.

The «Hochzytsvase» vase by Margrit Linck Keramik and the «Verbena No. 18» room fragrance by Kukui Parfums introduce carefully co-ordinated, personal accents to the interior.

The «Open Sky» blinds, designed by Ritva Puotila (born in 1935) for Woodnotes, provide a sense of calm through textiles, modulate the light and enhance the clarity of the space.

«The spacious, light-filled bathroom offered the ideal foundation for working with spatial separation, lighting, and materials. This enabled us to create an ambience that exudes tranquillity and palpably decelerates daily life.»

«The combination of glossy green tiles, warm wooden surfaces and textile elements was crucial. Our aim was to create a harmonious wellness sanctuary that combines functionality and emotion in equal measure.»
