Detached House Interior Design Concept

A detached house in Geneva received a client-tailored interior concept, in which the spatial design was precisely developed, and the long-time collaboration with teo jakob reached a new depth.

An interior design concept was created in Geneva uniting spatial organisation, design preferences and material selection for a long-standing client. The planning evolved through continuous dialogue and resulted in a living environment that carefully integrates functional requirements and aesthetic choices.

The «Grand Confort» armchair, designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand for Cassina, is in dialogue with the «Coffee Table», designed 1944 by Noguchi for Vitra, and the «Adjustable Table E 1027», designed in 1927 by Eileen Gray for ClassiCon, whose remakes keep 20th century design history visible.

The «Charles» sofa, designed in 1997 by Antonio Citterio for B&B Italia, is distinguished by its clean lines and aluminium feet shaped like an inverted L. In the same living area stands the «Calder Console», designed in 1999 by Rodolfo Dordoni.

The «Corker» by Herzog de Meuron and Ai Weiwei, developed in conjunction with the Serpentine Pavilion and introduced to the ClassiCon collection in 2022, serves as a multi-purpose seat or side table.

The furnishings were selectively enriched with selected accessories. A figure from the «Wooden Dolls» series designed in the 1950s by Alexander Girard, now part of the Vitra collection, takes centre stage.

The «NEX» shelving system by Piure organises books and objects; variable depths, heights and widths allow for bespoke configurations. Founded in Munich in 2006, the manufacturer creates modular furniture characterised by minimalist forms and exceptional material precision.

The «Monkey Mirror», designed in 2016 by Jaime Hayon for Wittmann, and placed here in the bedroom, features a striking silhouette; the frame and central pane can be finished in bronze or lacquered in RAL colours.
