Design Classics Exuding Character

teo jakob designed the furnishings of the Zurich headquarters of Zurich Insurance Group with striking design classics. Through consultation, sample selection and delivery, an interior design concept was developed that unites different architectural styles and brings together past and present.

In 2022, teo jakob realised furnishing of the headquarters of the Zurich Insurance Group in Zurich as part of renovation and expansion. The aim was to unite the different buildings of the campus with a timeless design language. In collaboration with the interior architecture provided by Hürlemann AG, an array of striking design classics was introduced. teo jakob supported the project from consultation and sample selection to realisation, creating a cohesive overall aesthetic.

The «Rookie» office chair, designed in 2018 by Konstantin Grcic (born in 1965) for Vitra, combines ergonomic functionality with a clear, contemporary design.

The «LC7» swivel-chair, designed in 1927 by Charlotte Perriand (1903–1999) for Cassina, is paired with the «Smalto» table, designed in 2008 by Edward Barber (born in 1969) and Jay Osgerby (born in 1970) for Knoll. The «Superloon» standing lamp, designed in 2015 by Jasper Morrison (born in 1959) for Flos, complements the ensemble.

The «Utrecht» armchair, designed in 1935 by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld (1888–1964) for Cassina, creates a striking accent in the room with its distinctive upholstery.

«Our task was to use furniture with character in such a way that they support the architecture while simultaneously creating identity. Through careful selection, sampling and placement, a harmonious overall impression was created across different buildings.»
