Office With Timber Structure

In 2025, teo jakob completed the interior architecture and furnishing design for the new service centre of OPO Oeschger AG in Bern-Wankdorf. Precise spatial volumes, clear lines of sight and sustainable materials created a modern working environment with a strong identity.

In 2025, teo jakob developed a holistic interior architecture concept for a 230 m² office space in the new commercial building in Bern-Wankdorf for the Bernese branch of OPO Oeschger AG. The deliberate incorporation of three volumes created a structured office landscape with interesting visual connections. Workstations along the glazed facade, a closed meeting room at the core and a breakout area with a kitchen for refreshments create distinct usage areas. The understated palette of green and grey tones complements the exposed wooden structural frame of the building and reinforces brand recognition. All materials comply with Minergie-ECO requirements and ensure a healthy indoor climate.

The «Tyde» meeting table, designed in 2017 by Ronan (born in 1971) and Erwan Bouroullec (born in 1976) for Vitra, is paired with the «Plastic Chair», designed in 1950 by Charles Eames (1907–1978) and Ray Eames (1912–1988) for Vitra.

The «TETA» shelving system by Bigla offers flexible storage solutions and clearly structures the office space.

In the breakout area, the «Plastic Chairs», designed in 1950 by Charles and Ray Eames for Vitra, are used and create an informal atmosphere.

The «Sloane» table, designed by Philipp Mainzer (born in 1963) for e15, is complemented by the «Strand» pendant lamp, created in 2020 by Benjamin Hubert (born in 1984) for Muuto, which adds a subtle lighting accent.

«It was important to us to create a clear spatial structure that provides orientation while at the same time allowing for openness. Carefully placed volumes and transparent lines of sight created a working environment with identity.»

«The choice of materials and the colour concept deliberately echo the building's timber supporting structure. This enabled us to combine architecture and furnishings into a coherent, sustainable overall concept.»
